School Values
Courage, Compassion, Joy
Welcome to
I am delighted that you are interested in our lovely school.
We are very proud of what we do here. As a small village school, we believe we get to know all of our children as individuals and strive to bring out the best in each of them. We have high expectations of work and behaviour but, as well as working hard, we make sure our children have fun too. Our vision is to 'Feed the mind, nurture the spirit and free the imagination.' By offering the richest curriculum that we can, and inspiring a commitment to our values of courage, compassion and joy, we hope to ensure that our children are well prepared for whatever happens in their lives when they leave us.

Such a privilege to get to experience this at Durweston. It's normally the children that get the tour and to be part of the farm but today Mrs McMullen got a guided tour, a place where no 2 days are ever the same and what a privilege it felt, such a remarkably beautiful space to spend an afternoon. What a perfect Autumn day for visiting the farm, trailer rides, sheep feeding and learning about different grains - all in a days work for our Starfish and preschool children Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust #farmvisits #autumnlearning #eyfs

A big celebration was had at Durweston today when some of our Year5 and 6's represented our school at a football tournament and were able to come back and tell us all that, not only had they participated and made us proud in the way they acted and contributed to the matches, but that they had won! An amazing achievement! Well done team. We are looking forward to seeing how more of our children can participate in these events and contribute towards this amazing achievement! GO DURWESTON Well done to all the other Blandford schools that took part today, very challenging opponents! #BSN #DSAT Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust #forumhub #sportsfixture
